Fall Modern Market 9/28/24
Exciting news! Our Modern Market at A Local Collective is making a return, and we're extending a warm invitation for your shop to join us this fall!
Why Modern Market, you ask? Well, let's shake things up a bit! In some markets, we've noticed a trend where certain events restrict participation solely to makers of goods. But hey, why leave out the curators? We're here to celebrate the visionaries behind the shops, too! There's so much love to be had for the art of curation — each piece carefully handpicked, each selection a testament to your own taste and style. We want to include everyone! :)
What: Modern Market
When: Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 10-4
Where: Our warehouse parking lot and N Front Street in Waterloo
Why: We want to celebrate our fave small shops in one spot!
Investment: $150 for one outdoor 10x10 space, marketing, rentals, permits, street closure, food trucks, influencers, security, fitting room attendant, etc. If you need a bigger space, please feel free to add another vendor booth on your order.
Tent: BYOT (Bring your own tent & weights)
Booze: ROAM Wine Bar; liquor license approved
Rain Date: Sunday, September 29
We are aware that Junkstock is this weekend - we want to capitalize on the crowd that will be in our area. We are just a mile north of there in downtown Waterloo!
SET-UP: Saturday, September 28, 7:30am-10am (Set-up times will be assigned the week before - we now stagger to reduce clutter).
TEAR-DOWN: September 28, 4pm-6pm
New (ish): There are a few categories of vendors that we will start limiting vendor spaces to make it successful. We have seen over the past years that some business types when there are multiple, it is not as successful. (For example: hat bars, ear piercing, permanent jewelry, etc.). We hope you understand.
As always: This event is open to members only. If we do not fill the spots, then we will open to other businesses. You as a member get first dibs and a discount on your space.
This event is non-refundable - we only have 40 spots and tend to fill up quickly. The look and feel of this event is very important to all of us, so please have your booth space looking pleasing for your customers. Please, no sharing or sub-leasing booth spaces. To join the waitlist, email us here.
