Lazy Dog Leather Company

Lazy Dog Leather Company

My name is Jennifer Hoffman. I stumbled upon leathwork somewhat by accident. In 2020 I was 25 years old, and freshly diagnosed with breast cancer. The world was still in quarantine mode, and I needed a new hobby to fill my time. I mentioned to my incredibly supportive husband that it would be cool to try leatherworking. Next thing I knew, he had ordered a beginners leatherworking kit for me. I spent the next multiple months teaching myself everything I could in between chemo treatments. The longer I created, the more I knew leatherworking was my passion. In December of 2022 I participated in my very first craft fair, and Lazy Dog Leather Company was born! The name being a nod to our very own lazy dogs, Deebo and Enzo. I create multiple ready to purchase items, but I also love taking custom orders.

After years of running my fashion truck and online shop, I’ve decided to sell my business and close this chapter to focus on new adventures. This wasn’t an easy decision—*hello ruby* has been such a huge part of my life, and I’ll forever cherish the memories, the amazing customers, and the connections I made. 💖

I’ll be focusing on growing *A Local Collective*, curating vendors for Midtown Crossing, and continuing my rebranded podcast, *Behind the Business*. This next chapter is all about supporting small businesses and building community—and I couldn’t be more excited!

Thank you for every ounce of love and support over the years. You made this journey unforgettable. Here’s to big dreams and new adventures ahead!

XO,

Jill ✨
